The NFL announced on October 15, 2024, that Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host Super Bowl LXIII in 2029, marking the second time the venue has been selected for the league's championship game.[1][2]
The decision followed a vote by NFL owners during their annual league meetings on October 14, 2024, at The Ritz-Carlton in Phoenix, Arizona.[1][3]
Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders since its opening in 2020, previously hosted Super Bowl LVIII on February 11, 2024, where the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime.[1][4]
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement: "We're excited to bring the Super Bowl back to Las Vegas and provide our fans another incredible experience in one of America's greatest sport and entertainment destinations."[1]
Raiders owner Mark Davis added: "Super Bowl LVIII set a high bar, and for Super Bowl LXIII we are committed to raising it even further."[1]
The stadium is also scheduled to host the College Football Playoff national championship in January 2028, the NCAA Men's Final Four in 2028, and the Oakland Athletics' first season in their new Las Vegas ballpark beginning in 2028.[5][6]
