New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart reported for the first week of organized team activities appearing leaner and stronger than during his rookie season. Dart stated that he maintains the same weight while crediting the team's strength staff and improved nutrition resources for the visible change.

Dart addressed comparisons to former quarterback Tim Tebow, who switched to tight end in the pros, by saying he remains built like a quarterback. He added that the extra offseason resources helped him build muscle without altering his frame.

Dart missed two games last season due to a concussion. Earlier in the week he acknowledged at a fan event that he must limit unnecessary hits to stay available throughout the year. New head coach John Harbaugh, offensive coordinator Matt Nagy and quarterbacks coach Brian Callahan have discussed the importance of sliding and avoiding contact.

The Giants signed general manager Joe Schoen to a multiyear contract extension on Thursday. Schoen and Harbaugh have worked together since Harbaugh's January hiring, and the extension follows the team's draft selections of linebacker Arvell Reese and offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa.
