Winston targets Super Bowl LXI for Giants with Harbaugh, Dart
New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston predicted a Super Bowl LXI victory under new head coach John Harbaugh and quarterback Jaxson Dart. Winston, a veteran backup, praised Dart's fearless style and Harbaugh's leadership during a press conference at the team's East Rutherford facility. The Giants hired Harbaugh after firing Brian Daboll midseason.
The Giants have struggled since their Super Bowl XLVI victory in 2012, posting just two winning seasons in that span. After reaching the playoffs in 2022, they compiled a 13-38 record over the next three campaigns. Harbaugh, who spent 18 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, takes over amid hopes of ending the franchise's extended slump.
Winston likened Dart to his younger self, citing the rookie's toughness and mobility. "Jaxson is just electric," Winston told Fox News Digital. He highlighted Harbaugh fits the Giants' tradition of strong coaches like Bill Parcells and Tom Coughlin, Winston added.
"We can win the Super Bowl. We can be in LA playing for Super Bowl LXI. That’s the minimum," Winston said. The team warmed up Winston before a December 28, 2025, game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
